Website design contest

Hello guys, I would like to throw a design contest for the PEAR site and here is a start of the text I thought we could write to the people. |- With the quickly upcoming initial release of PEAR 2, we believe it is time we freshen up the look of the website and try to give it a more modern and dynamic layout. However, most of us are not very good designers but we are core software developers. This is why we need your help. We need someone who would be able to design the html layout and write the css but also make it valid XHTML. The contest will start now and end on (A month and a half after the date we release that memo). The results will be displayed on http://pear.php.net and the winner of the contest will get his name and website on the pear.php.net front page for 2 months ????? (To discuss I guess) Remember that we do not have color preferences so let your imagination speak. Thanks a whole lot from the website team and the pear-group. |- I now take this time to ask you your opinion about the current website, do you think we should keep the color scheme or not ? Do you have any prize idea for the winner ? Do you think the idea is good ? Just remember that the 80's were cool with our flashy pants and the 90's with our keyboards, but now it's 2007 time to get off the horse and get a car like everyone :P -- David Coallier, PEAR Group (http://pear.php.net)
