Hi,
I just joined this list today and I'm looking for some startoff
information. I searched for a FAQ but couldn't find anything, so I'll
just send some questions to this list. If you have an URL where I can
find the answers to these questions, that would be OK as well.
I am in the proces of writing an application framework in PHP. Some of
the posts I have seen seem to indicate that PEAR will not be a
complete framework, but looking at the requirements for PEAR code it
would be fairly easy for me to write PEAR compatible code and release
parts of my work via PEAR. And use parts from PEAR in my own work of
course).
So fore the questions:
- - Could someone explain to my why all code is released onder the PHP
license. Why was this license chosen over other licenses? (GLP,
Artistic, _whatever_)
- - Are there design goals other then the onces described at
http://pear.php.net/doc/pear.html
- - Can I contribute to PEAR and if so, how?
Greetings,
Eelco
