I'm curious as to what the plans are for the "Net" section of PEAR. While I realize that many of the things that exist in CPAN's Net section are frequently compiled in to PHP, it would be nice to be able to access these through the PEAR standard interface. I actually have a version of Net/Dict.php that's not too far off from being ready to submit for review...mainly because I wanted it for my own purposes, but I thought someone else may be interested, which led me to think "It'd be nice to have Net interfaces to LDAP, FTP, IMAP, POP, and NNTP." Getting really odd, Net/Telnet, Net/SSH and/or Net/SCP! :) What do you guys think? Is anyone else already working in any of these directions?
