Hi,
I'd like to add a frontbase driver to the database abstraction class.
The frontbase function syntax is almost exactly like mysql, so copying
mysql.php to frontbase.php and search & replace mysql with fbsql will
mostly do the trick. However, frontbase has the capability of putting a
password on the database itself as well as a password for each user. How
would this be accomodated?
Maybe an optional password could be appended to the database name like
so:
phptype(dbsyntax)://username:password@protocol+hostspec/database:dbpassword
see http://www.frontbase.com, the php drivers are on the
download page.
