please help with PHPDoc

Hello php-pear,
I try to use PHPDoc, but there's something strange.
When i call
$doc->parse();
that's OK. I have XML files.
but when i call
$doc->render(); it generate for me empty html files. in this files
only headers but not my comments :(
i try to understand how it works and I think that my trouble is
here:
file :PhpdocXMLReader.php
function parse($filename) {
.....
list($data, $last) = $this->importXML();
....
the $data here is empty :(
but in function importXML() $data is ok... it contains data from
parsed xml file.
I use PHPDdoc version 1.0beta
apache 1.3.7 and PHP 4.0.0.
may be my trouble that i need php 4.0.3 ?
