Hello ALL,
I hope that this is the right mailing list for these questions.
I am new to using PHP and am working with the Trustix Linix distribution
for my servers. I was initially going to use Perl for this project, but
someone suggested that PHP might be easier and more efficient for the
job at hand.
I have a real need to be able to use MySQL and some type of data
encryption routines such as mcrypt with PHP but am not really sire what
is involved to set up PHP to handle it.
In Perl, you simply add the module to the library, but I am not sure in
PHP. It seems that you need to recompile everything, which does not make
it sound easy.
I have tried to compile PHP recently --with-mysql and --with-mcrypt
after installing these, but ran into some errors with mcrypt.
does anyone have any prebuilt versions of what I am looking for, or
suggestions on this matter?
Thanks,
Lonnie
