HTTP authentication class for PEAR?

I can't find any class in PEAR which manages to
perform HTTP authentication as shown on
http://www.php.net/manual/features.http-auth.php.
In my opinion a class handling this type of
authentication might be pretty useful. If you
agree to my opionion I can contribute the code
soon.
