Hmm, in my initial posting to the list I mentioned a class
for performing __http authentication__ like
<?php
if(!isset($PHP_AUTH_USER)) {
Header("WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm=\"My Realm\"");
Header("HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized");
echo "Text to send if user hits Cancel button\n";
exit;
} else {
echo "Hello $PHP_AUTH_USER.<P>";
echo "You entered $PHP_AUTH_PW as your password.<P>";
}
?>
like it is described in the manual on
http://www.php.net/manual/features.http-auth.php
(In a of course more 'enhanced' version than shown above).
Your script handles authentication via a login form, as it
is done with auth object of PHPLIB.
So first I'll make my script handling http authentication ready
for PEAR and commit it. After that I'll do the same for your
login script, ok?
