Nearly a year ago we wrote an XML data aware templating system for PHP4. Most did not like the concept because they didnt understand what we were trying to do.
The code still exists somewhere if you are inerested. We stopped using PHP at that time because of the change of licensing. Basically jadeke would allow full templating and had database and datasource tags so you could bind data to it without having to worry about php code, but you still had full power if php code w/ name spacing like mozilla's xul to play around.
Anyhow if you dont want to start from scratch its there and gpl. I will dig it up for you if you are interested.

Quoting Sean Grimes <metallic@noworlater.net>:I'm currently in the process of learning XML, and I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in some sort of template system using XML. It should be a moderate undertaking, but it may actually be useful.I take it you mean something other (simpler?) than XSLT? I'd like to see where it goes, certainly. -chuck -- Charles Hagenbuch, <chuck@horde.org> "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the chicken!" - Baby Blues
