Ahh, this is helpful, I only looked at the INSTALL file in the distributed
tar which was slightly different? At any rate, this helps me identify what
all the configuration options are and how to use them. I am still a bit
stumped on the mmap option.
I have configured APC with mmap support, and turned it on using
/tmp/apc.XXXXXX as the configuration. I have not seen an "out of memory"
message in my error log now for a few days but I can't figure out where the
mmap memory is allocated. I had assumed based upon the text that it would
be a file in the /tmp directory, but none are there. Could this be a
FreeBSD thing as to how it implements mmap support?
My config is now as follows:
extension="/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/apc.so"
apc.shm_segments=10
apc.relative_includes=1
apc.shm_size=10
apc.ttl=900 <-- I don't think this is supported
apc.idle=900 <-- I don't think this is supported
apc.check_mtime=1
apc.mmap_file_mask=/tmp/apc.XXXXXX
Where can I get more information on the storage of my mmap requests and how
can I confirm that I am actually caching?
Finally, is that APC_GUI still supported, or any plans to bring it forward..
Thanks again!
