Hello Osmanov, I have visited ev homepage, and I read all the examples. Before I read them, I thought ev would supply socket server functions and there might have example of creating socket server, but I did not seem to find any these things I suppose to see.Currently I'm writing new "event" extension for >= libevent 2.0.2-alpha. There will be really cool stuff for handling sockets.
Did I made a mistake about libev library functionality?libev is just a general purpose event loop, while libevent is mostly for networking. If one needs just a simple and fast event loop, he/she should use libev. For (advanced) async networking libevent/event is the best what we can do in PHP.
I have used libevent extesion, I thought both libevent extesion and ev extension are written in C language style, they are hard to use if people don't know libevent library or ev library. There may have too many functions, made me confused.Just wait for a while. "event" extension will come with docs similar to the docs of "ev". Hmm, I thought ev's docs are clear enough. There is always a bit of ambiguity. Just try and see what happens. You know, the docs of the libraries are no exhaustive too(especially libevent). Time to time I have to look into the source.
It should thought that peoples use PHP are not familiar with C language, PHP extensions should simply to use. I apologize for my rudeness, and thanks a lot for your effort. Wish you a good day!I've just sent you invitation to the "pecl-event" project.
