Help Solving Bug in pecl/memcache

I am unsure how to solve this bug. When an object references itself
(ex: $obj->obj = $obj;) then I get the double free segfault. Can
someone point me in the right direction? I feel like I am spinning my
wheels trying to solve this bug.
