Re: Pear install apd fails

Hi, I am trying to get APD to work on a OS X.3.5 installation with PHP5.0.1 installed into /usr/local/php5/ If I set the php.ini values as such: extension_dir=/usr/local/php5/lib/php/extensions and zend_extension=/usr/local/php5/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20040412/apd.so then then httpd crashes after 'apachectl graceful' with the following message:

/usr/sbin/apachectl: line 171:   756 Trace/BPT trap          $HTTPD

/usr/sbin/apachectl graceful: httpd could not be started in /var/log/httpd/error_log the following is written: dyld: /usr/sbin/httpd Undefined symbols: _OnUpdateInt dyld: /usr/sbin/httpd Undefined symbols: _OnUpdateInt However, IF I set the php.ini values as follows: extension_dir=/usr/local/php5/lib/php/extensions and zend_extension=no-debug-non-zts-20040412/apd.so or zend_extension=apd.so then httpd starts fine after 'apachectl graceful' with the following message: /usr/sbin/apachectl graceful: httpd started BUT in in /var/log/httpd/error_log the following is written: Failed loading /no-debug-non-zts-20040412/apd.so: (null) or Failed loading apd.so: (null) What is wrong ?? Imho APD is an Zend-Extension so it needs to be just on entry, including the full path to the so-file: zend_extension=/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/apd.so johannes
