I would like to add AhoCorasick extension to the PECL. It is an efficient multiple-pattern string matching algorithm based on building a deterministic finite automata. The whole algorithm is performed in the extension, benefiting from speed improvements compared to pure-PHP approach when implementing AhoCorasick. I am using this extension on my personal projects to match haystack against a large dictionary of keywords. Extension works well, it is pretty fast. Build runs on Travis CI.
