Hi Everyone!
My name is Joe George and I work for ZeroC (https://zeroc.com). ZeroC’s Ice is an open source RPC
framework licensed under GPLv2 and is used by various open source projects (for example Mumble).
Ice for PHP is currently available though repos that we host (Ubuntu, Red Hat, etc.) as well as in
the main Debian and Ubuntu repos. We would like to add (and maintain) Ice to PECL.
Since Ice is GPLv2 I’m not sure how this applies to your rules as stated on https://pecl.php.net/account-request.php as
this will not a be a wrapper.
```
Note: wrappers for GPL (all versions) or LGPLv3 libraries will not be accepted. Wrappers for
libraries licensed under LGPLv2 are however allowed while being discouraged.
```
You can view the source code on GitHub at: https://github.com/zeroc-ice/ice. Note that we have not
done any PECL packing yet, as we want to see if we can/should get an account first.
Cheers,
Joe George
