I don't know much about PHP-Gtk myself. When I tested PHP-Gtk I was
concerned only about Windows compatibility, performance and other similar
issues. Maybe some of you guys can help shed some light here.

Certainly, but a PHP-based layer is a much quicker job. Anyway I'll need
help from another programmer because I don't have the time or knowledge to
do any.

I agree, and I don't even think about suggesting that to the PHP-Gtk folks.
Although both can generate GUI applications under Windows, their concept,
goals and implementation are completely different. The idea of creating a
PHP-Gtk layer is to allow programmers to use their existing code to generate
native Windows apps and thus widen the spectrum of potential WinBinder
users. However I don't pretend to change the way PHP-Gtk works at all, and
it doesn't need to. Changes, if any, will have to be made to WinBinder
alone.

Thanks, I'll certainly want your help when the time comes.
Meanwhile, I can envision a two-stage (PHP-based first, C-based later it if
works really well) PHP-Gtk interface as a solution that would reside halfway
between "pure" WinBinder and a full cross-platform implementation which
seems very difficult (both technically and license-wise). The good news is
that this layer is something than can be developed in parallel to WinBinder
with little or no impact on the current project. Of course I'm assuming that
this layer is possible at all, but I still need more opinions.
