before i start digging in too deep, is zlib_filter-1.1 totally broken?
maybe just when having more than one zlib.deflate stream going at once?
the attached script is what i'm testing with -- it relays what is
written via a unix socket back out through tcp connections, compressing
along the way.
it basically exhibits behavior like something is scribbling all over
memory. variables suddenly being corrupt, etc. removing the call to
stream_filter_append() clears up the problem (but then with no
compression, obviously).
i'm running it with php 5.0.2.
