Hi,
My recent RFC to add var_representation to core failed 9-10 recently with conflicting objections.
I'd like to add this as a PECL.
Are there any objections?
Repo: https://github.com/tysonandre/var_representation
(functionality is as described in that RFC)
Motivation: https://wiki.php.net/rfc/readable_var_representation#introduction
(much more readable output, faster than userland, etc.)
Potential future scope: https://wiki.php.net/rfc/readable_var_representation#future_scope
(plans for PECL functionality are limited to generating/outputting machine or human readable
representations of values)
Proposed PECL name: var_representation
My PECL account is https://pecl.php.net/user/tandre -
I'm a lead on the igbinary, ast, and runkit7 projects
Thanks,
Tyson
