Dear PHP internals,
It appears that a (relatively) recent change broke pecl clients: now that
chunked encoding is sometimes applied and such responses are probably
cached by CDN, pecl clients (at least one from PHP 7.4) fail to download
the packages: they can't handle chunked encoding and the size prefix breaks
the XML for it.
I stumbled upon this issue yesterday but can't tell for sure when exactly
it broke because I don't rebuild my images very often but a month ago is
was OK.
At the same time I discovered a similar issue reported on GitHub:
https://github.com/php/web-pecl/issues/119
Could you take a look? Was there a CDN configuration change that could have
caused this? It's quite important now, when we rebuild the environment
because of the recent CVEs.
Thanks!
