Hi,
For the first release on PECL we start with version number 1.0, which was in fact our MaxDB version
7.5.00.23. Then we decided to change the versioning on PECL and let the version numbers on PECL go
in parallel with the MaxDB versioning. So the next MaxDB PHP release on PECL got the version
7.5.00.24.
The newest release of the MaxDB PHP extension on PECL is compatible with MySQL's mysqli
extension. The only thing to change when porting MySQL PHP applications to MaxDB PHP is perhaps the
SQL, as this differs between MaxDB and MySQL.
