Greetings all. Im trying to add Imagick Support for the latest PHP (4.3.4). I download ImageMagick 5.5.7 Stable for Linux (RPM), installed it, and followed the instructions included INSTALL file, from the latest Imagick API for PHP, found here http://pecl.php.net/package/imagick. Everything seams to work fine, until the 'make' process is in its final state. I then get this error message : gcc: /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/ImageMagick-5.5.7/magick/.libs/.libs/libMagick.so: No such file or directory make: *** [sapi/cgi/php] Error 1 error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.46894 (%build) RPM build errors: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.46894 (%build) This is a test build for a RPM. However, I get the exact same error message when building directly from source. Here is some verbose output of the RPM build, if it can help : Executing(%prep): /bin/sh -e /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.92095 + umask 022 + cd /usr/src/redhat/BUILD + cd /usr/src/redhat/BUILD + rm -rf php-4.3.4 + /bin/gzip -dc /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/php-4.3.4.tar.gz + tar -xf - + STATUS=0 + '[' 0 -ne 0 ']' + cd php-4.3.4 ++ /usr/bin/id -u + '[' 0 = 0 ']' + /bin/chown -Rhf root . ++ /usr/bin/id -u + '[' 0 = 0 ']' + /bin/chgrp -Rhf root . + /bin/chmod -Rf a+rX,g-w,o-w . + cp Zend/LICENSE Zend/ZEND_LICENSE + mkdir build-cgi + mkdir build-cli + exit 0 Executing(%build): /bin/sh -e /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.27909 + umask 022 + cd /usr/src/redhat/BUILD + cd php-4.3.4 + CFLAGS=-O2 -funroll-loops -ffast-math -malign-double -mcpu=pentiumpro -march =pentiumpro -fPIC + export CFLAGS + LDFLAGS=-L/usr/kerberos/lib + export LDFLAGS + LIBS=-lttf -lfreetype -lpng -ljpeg -lz -lnsl + export LIBS + EXTENSION_DIR=/usr/lib/php4 + export EXTENSION_DIR + IMAP_SHARED_LIBADD=-lc-client + export IMAP_SHARED_LIBADD + rm -f configure + ./buildconf --force Forcing buildconf using default Zend directory buildconf: checking installation... buildconf: autoconf version 2.13 (ok) buildconf: libtool version 1.4.3 (ok) rebuilding configure rebuilding main/php_config.h.in + pushd build-cgi /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/php-4.3.4/build-cgi /usr/src/redhat/BUILD/php-4.3.4 + build --enable-force-cgi-redirect + ln -sf ../configure + CFLAGS=-O2 -funroll-loops -ffast-math -malign-double -mcpu=pentiumpro -march =pentiumpro -fPIC + export CFLAGS + CXXFLAGS=-O2 -funroll-loops -ffast-math -malign-double -mcpu=pentiumpro -mar ch=pentiumpro + export CXXFLAGS + FFLAGS=-O2 -funroll-loops -ffast-math -malign-double -mcpu=pentiumpro -march =pentiumpro + export FFLAGS + ./configure i686-redhat-linux --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr --bindir=/usr/bin --sbind ir=/usr/sbin --sysconfdir=/etc --datadir=/usr/share --includedir=/usr/includ e --libdir=/usr/lib --libexecdir=/usr/libexec --localstatedir=/var --shareds tatedir=/usr/com --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --prefix= /usr --with-config-file-path=/etc --enable-force-cgi-redirect --disable-debu g --with-openssl --with-zlib --enable-bcmath --with-bz2 --enable-calendar -- enable-pic --disable-rpath --enable-inline-optimization --with-db3 --with-do m=/usr --with-exec-dir=/usr/bin --with-freetype-dir=/usr --with-png-dir=/usr --with-gd --enable-gd-native-ttf --with-ttf --with-gdbm --with-gettext --wi th-ncurses --with-gmp --with-iconv --with-jpeg-dir=/usr --with-mm --with-png --with-pspell --with-regex=system --with-xml --with-expat-dir=/usr --with-p df --with-layout=GNU --enable-debugger --enable-exif --enable-ftp --enable-m agic-quotes --enable-safe-mode --enable-sockets --enable-sysvsem --enable-sy svshm --enable-discard-path --enable-track-vars --enable-trans-sid --enable- yp --enable-wddx --without-oci8 --with-imap=shared --with-imap-ssl --with-ke rberos=/usr/kerberos --with-ldap=shared --with-mysql=shared,/usr --with-pgsq l=shared --with-snmp=shared,/usr --with-snmp=shared --enable-ucd-snmp-hack - -with-unixODBC=shared --enable-memory-limit --enable-bcmath --enable-shmop - -enable-versioning --enable-dbx --enable-dio --enable-mcal --enable-mbstring --enable-mbstr-enc-trans --enable-pcntl --with-mcrypt=/usr/lib/libmcrypt -- enable-mime-magic --with-imagick --enable-force-cgi-redirect [...] checking for imagick support... yes checking for imagick support... no Building with ImageMagick as backend checking for ImageMagick in default path... found in /usr checking for ImageMagick 5.4.5 or greater with /usr/bin/Magick-config... 5.5.7 checking for InitializeMagick in -lMagick... yes [...] then it configures and build until it breaks.
