Hello,
I am currently working on writing a template engine as a PHP extension.
I am still working on it, it isn't quite finished yet, I just wanted to
propose my idea. The extension is a template engine, which is based on
the API of the Integrated Templates template engine[1]. The API is very
similar to, and will be compatible with the the PEAR
HTML_Template_Sigma[2] API, which is also based of the Integrated
Templates design. The goal of the extension is to provide a very fast
and robust template engine to PHP, something which PHP has been lacking
of in my opinion. The template extension I am working on will solve this
problem, and prove to be very useful.
As I said earlier, it isn't finished yet, I am still developing it, I
just wanted to inform everyone of my idea, and get any
comments/concerns/thoughts of having an extension like this in PECL.
Hopefully with in the next week or two I will have a working beta
version. The extension will use the PHP license.
Any comments/suggestions/critcisizm is appreciated.
Regards,
Matthew Fonda
