I'd really like to help, if you could tell me what / how to do it ;o) I just have little experience by now, but i'm developing a Windows API extension for PHP (just like WinBinder but PHP 5 and completly OO) I think that helped me a lot ;o) So if there are any small C parts to to, i'll gladly help out. I just don't have any plan working outside the C code... And additionally i don't know how to work on this, if i can't get it to build anywhere (neither Win XP nor FC4) (I never got php 5 to build either... i must be doing something extremly wrong...) Just drop me a little message ;o) Regards, Markus P.S.: If ou want to have a look at my Extension let me know... It's still at a very early state, but many things work allready, and those things implemented should be complete (Windows, Buttons, Labels, Checkbox, RadioButton, StatusBar, ReBar with Bands(not complete) etc.), and there is a whole internal messaging system abstracting the Windows Messaging from PHP... very easy to use ;o)) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrei Zmievski" <andrei@gravitonic.com> Newsgroups: php.gtk.dev To: "Christopher Logan" <chris@b40d.com> Cc: <php-gtk-dev@lists.php.net> Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2005 9:42 PM Subject: Re: [PHP-GTK-DEV] PHP-GTK 2 status update needed
What would you consider an alpha version? What set of features should it have? How much of Gtk+ API should it cover? These are the questions that need to be answered before releasing anything. I have been pretty much the only one working on the new version of PHP-GTK for months now (as opposed to PHP-GTK 1 where I had Markus, Alan, and others who were helping out). It is becoming clear that the bottleneck is also due to my simply being busy with other things in my life. Architecturally, I know what needs to be done and what sort of code needs to be written, but I just lack the available cycles to sit down and do it every day. I may be able to dedicate a few hours every other week to this, and there is still a lot of work to finish. So unless I get a couple of helpers I'm afraid this is the pace we're going to continue at. -Andrei On Jul 5, 2005, at 11:54 AM, Christopher Logan wrote:
Is everyone on vacation or has PHP-GTK 2 come to a major slowdown. I wouldn't mind testing PHP-GTK 2 but can't get PHP 5.1 to compile on Fedora Core 4 even though Fedora should have everything it needs since PHP 5 comes compiled with Fedora. At any rate I think a compiled alpha version is in order to get people both bug testing and using so they can create some documentation for PHP-GTK 2. -- PHP-GTK Development Mailing List (http://gtk.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
