Hello!
PECL Announce wrote:
The new PECL package APC-3.0.2 (stable) has been released at http://pecl.php.net/.I tried to install this version, but it does not work. I tried "pear install apc" with mmap: [yes] and I tried the gentoo-ebuild. I use the following settings in my php.ini: extension=apc.so apc.enabled="1" apc.shm_segments="1" apc.shm_size="30" apc.optimization="0" apc.num_files_hint="1000" apc.ttl="0" apc.gc_ttl="3600" apc.cache_by_default="On" apc.filters="" apc.mmap_file_mask="" apc.slam_defense="0" I can restart apache (1.3.33, mod_php 5.0.3), and if I disable APC I see the following phpinfo(): APC Support disabled Version 3.0.2 MMAP Support Enabled MMAP File Mask no value Revision $Revision: 3.49 $ Build Date Jul 7 2005 17:27:44 Directive Local Value Master Value apc.cache_by_default On On apc.enabled Off Off apc.filters no value no value apc.gc_ttl 3600 3600 apc.mmap_file_mask no value no value apc.num_files_hint 1000 1000 apc.optimization Off Off apc.shm_segments 1 1 apc.shm_size 30 30 apc.slam_defense Off Off apc.ttl 0 0 apc.user_entries_hint 100 100 apc.user_ttl 0 If I enable APC, Apache does not answer to php-script requests, error_log says (for every request to php-script): /usr/sbin/apache: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20041030/apc.so: undefined symbol: sapi_get_request_time The same problem if I don't use mmap. It also happens with <?php echo "hello world!"; ?> If I disable apc.cache_by_default, everything works, I can run apc.php... but it does not cache anything. Do you have any ideas about what could be the problem? Best regards Andreas PS: Of course I restarted apache, reinstalled apc serveral times...
