PDO LastInsertId() returning %ld on 5.1b2

I just picked up 5.1 beta and PDO's lastInsertId() has started returning
"%ld" instead of the key of the record I just inserted. This is with MySQL
and using the driver that came with 5.1. I just raised a bug report, but
thought I would ask, in case I am doing something foolish, has anyone else
seen this?
