hi george/dan
apologies for the direct email, perhaps you have some ideas regarding an APC issue that's come up.
I have some fairly simple classes with only one level of inheritance, they work fine in a default PHP install but as soon as I enable the latest APC 2.0 extension i get an error reported that doesn't exist.
PHP 4.3.3
APC 2.0 (public release)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon)
Apache/1.3.29 (Unix)
the include process is like this:
1. simple class caller file
http://www.phpkitchen.com/seagull/tmp/roleMgr.phps
2. the main class
http://www.phpkitchen.com/seagull/tmp/RoleMgr.phps
3. the super class
http://www.phpkitchen.com/seagull/tmp/Manager.phps
the incorrect error i get is Fatal error: Class rolemgr: Cannot inherit from undefined class manager in /var/www/html/awarez/www/roleMgr.php on line 4
enabling/disabling APC and restarting Apache several times in a row does not reproduce the error consistently. With APC enabled, sometimes the error appears, other times not.
Is there a flush cache option or some kind of workaround you could recommend?
if providing the actual files would help please let me know,
cheers
