This library sounds really useful, so I'm going to accept your account/package, but please note that you *must* "link" to the freeimage library under the terms of the FIPL rather than the GPL, and you must ensure that you adhere to the terms of the FIPL (such as advertising its use in a README file in your extension directory). Also note that your extension code itself cannot be included in PECL if it is under the GPL (please read the pecl-dev archives for more information on this matter).
