I guess that but it won't be easy to get a backtrace from this (it happens after many hours at hundred requests/s)... :-/ I didn't have the time to test the cvs version but I made a new test (still with 3.0.7) without using any filter and there was again the same problems

You probably told me before, but what is your apc configuration again? Both compile flags and .ini settings please.

extension = "no-debug-non-zts-20020429/apc.so" apc.shm_size="80" apc.max_file_size="2M" I used the quick install (DSO): $ /usr/local/php/bin/phpize $ ./configure --enable-apc --enable-apc-mmap --with-apxs --with-php-config=/usr/local/php/bin/php-config $ make $ make install
Your config should be fine, but could you change it to something like this and let it run for a while? I just want to rule out some edge cases. apc.enabled=1 apc.shm_segments=1 apc.optimization=0 apc.shm_size=64 apc.ttl=7200 apc.user_ttl=7200 apc.num_files_hint=2000 apc.mmap_file_mask=/tmp/apc.XXXXXX
Ok, I've just started a new test with theses settings. About the filter if you remember, I've some troubles too. I've noticed that with the pattern : (.*/cache/.*\.php)|(.*/tmp/.*\.php) /home/pcinpact/www/cache/pub.php <http://www.pcinpact.com/admin/apc.php?SCOPE=A&SORT1=H&SORT2=D&COUNT=20&OB=2&SH=85045320ebc4ae4f119f278cc1792fc8> is rightly filtered but not /home/pcinpact/www/cache/cache_art.php tristan Result of the last attempt with your settings: I had this in my log: " [Mon Aug 22 02:38:20 2005] [notice] child pid 7307 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) [Mon Aug 22 03:09:10 2005] [notice] child pid 9135 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) [Mon Aug 22 09:35:53 2005] [notice] child pid 8252 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) [Mon Aug 22 09:59:46 2005] [error] server reached MaxClients setting, consider raising the MaxClients setting [Mon Aug 22 10:03:38 2005] [apc-error] apc_fcntl_lock failed errno:35 [Mon Aug 22 10:08:49 2005] [apc-error] apc_fcntl_lock failed errno:35 [Mon Aug 22 10:14:00 2005] [apc-error] apc_fcntl_lock failed errno:35 " and apache didn't answer any more :-/ (I never have any problem with MaxClients [512] before that)
