It will. If these .phar files are just for installation purposes, I don't see the point either.
Well this depends on how for we want this phar stuff to go. Obviously the way things are now you would never consider using phar stuff as a viable format for anything remotely performance dependend. However maybe with APC it would atleast be viable for moderatly performance relevant situations. regards, Lukas
