I'm wondering if it's to commit php_date under date (pecl/date) or
php_date. What would you like to see?

Any comments, ideas welcome.
If you test it, there is actually an annoyed bug, using php compiled
with debug mode and date as shared, the script segfaults after
MSHUTDOWN.
The code needs some cleanup and test cases. But I would like to put it
now to ease the life of contributors/debug.
