Hi,
I have a redhat 7.3 + apache + ssl + php. I am trying to add the ImageMagic
and the Imagick php wrapper.
I have installed the ImageMagick-5.5.7-10.i386.rpm and the
ImageMagick-devel-5.5.7-10.i386.rpm. I verified them also.
Now, I am trying to install the Imagick php wrapper, and this is where I got
stuck. The instructions is below:
1) make sure the path to Magick-config (the ImageMagick configuration
script) is in your PATH environment variable
2) cd /usr/src/php/ext
3) untar the imagick tar
4) if the directory created is anything other then imagick, rename it to
imagick
5) cd /usr/src/php/ext/imagick
6) phpize
7) cd /usr/src/php
8) rm ./configure
9) ./buildconf
10) run configure as you normally would and add --with-imagick
11) make
12) make install
I did everything till step number 10. This is where I got stuck. I got this
error message:
configure:34791: gcc -o
conftest -O2 -I/usr/local/src/openssl-0.9.7a -DLINUX=22 -DMOD_SSL=208112 -DU

E -lX11 -lbz2 -lz -lm 1>&5
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXext
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
configure: failed program was:
#line 34780 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"
/* Override any gcc2 internal prototype to avoid an error. */
/* We use char because int might match the return type of a gcc2
builtin and then its argument prototype would still apply. */
char InitializeMagick();
Looks like that I am going to have a problem
with -lXext -lSM -lICE -lX11 -lbz2. How can I beat this?
Thank you.
