This should lead to more useful work in the future.I am also writing to announce that I will be working on developing a wrapper to either Loudmouth or Iksemel as a PHP extension. This is my first extension, but I have Sarah's book so hopefully I'll be able to stumble through it. If anyone has any experience with Iksemel or Loudmouth (both are Jabber libraries), I'd love your thoughts, since I haven't had time to put much research into either of them yet.Did you see this: http://thinker.rubay.de/archives/10-phpurple.html I did see that. My extension will limit itself JUST to jabber. It was suggested by Elazar that since Google Talk (and maybe AIM soon) are using Jabber, it might be nice to have a simple extension just for Jabber, without all of the extra baggage that comes along with libpurple. So there is some duplication of functionality here, but some benefits should come with the lighter version.
