Hi, The correct forum would probably be to report a bug on the pecl website, anyway I had a look at the session handler code and indeed the weight parameter was parsed, however it wasn't actually used later though. I've committed a fix to CVS and it will show up in the next release. //Mikael Rudy Gevaert wrote:
Hello, I have set up php-memcache 3.0.1 and would like to use it to store my sessions in: $session_save_path = "tcp://hostx:11211?weight=10,tcp://hosty:11211?weight=1,tcp://hostz:11211?weight=20"; ini_set('session.save_handler', 'memcache'); ini_set('session.save_path', $session_save_path); ini_set('memcache.session_redundancy',3); The basic functionality works: - sessions save, edit, destroy - redundancy If one host fails it happily continues to work. However the weight of the servers doesn't seem to respond to what I have configured. It just randomly takes a server. When I put a memcached server off line it just takes on of the others at random. That is not what I want :). I really need to specify the most preferred host. Is this in fact working for anybody? I hope this is the correct channel to request help, because I couldn't find a more specific channel. Thank you in advance, Rudy
