I dont think that this is a bug,, everytime you call ssh2_exec() it allocates a new channel. Try "ls <FOLDER NAME>/<FILE NAME>" directly, or write a shell script, put all commands in it, and execute the script using ssh2_exec() If you dont want to use a bash script, then use ssh2_shell() php function to Request an interactive shell and execute all your commands via requested shell.. --- On Sun, 6/22/08, pecl-dev-digest-help@lists.php.net <pecl-dev-digest-help@lists.php.net> wrote: From: pecl-dev-digest-help@lists.php.net <pecl-dev-digest-help@lists.php.net> Subject: pecl-dev Digest 21 Jun 2008 21:00:37 -0000 Issue 611 To: pecl-dev@lists.php.net Date: Sunday, June 22, 2008, 12:00 AM ... Hi, I have installed the ssh2 package without any problem and am able to connect to my server and authenticate using asymmetric keys. I can also run commands using ssh2_exec() and have used the ssh2_scp_recv() command to retrieve files. However when running the ssh2_exec() command the command "cd" seems to be ignored. Once logged in I can run "ls" and show the folders available to me but "cd <FOLDER NAME>" doesn't seem to work. I don't get any errors back in the stream, the reply is just blank.I have tried adding a trailing slash and still no luck. I know I have access to the folders because the following command works: "cd <FOLDER NAME>/<FILE NAME>" Has anyone else had similar issues and should I report this as a bug or is there a reason?
