Sure. It is happening most predictably on a pair of production servers as follows:
Ubuntu 8.04 / 64 bit
Apache2 2.2.8; prefork
PHP 5.2.4 (shared) (5.2.4-2ubuntu5.3)
APC 3.0.19 configured as follows:
apc.cache_by_default 1
apc.coredump_unmap 0
apc.enable_cli 0
apc.enabled 1
apc.file_update_protection 2
apc.filters
apc.gc_ttl 3600
apc.include_once_override 0
apc.max_file_size 1M
apc.mmap_file_mask
apc.num_files_hint 1000
apc.report_autofilter 0
apc.rfc1867 0
apc.rfc1867_freq 0
apc.rfc1867_name APC_UPLOAD_PROGRESS
apc.rfc1867_prefix upload_
apc.shm_segments 1
apc.shm_size 30
apc.slam_defense 0
apc.stat 1
apc.stat_ctime 0
apc.ttl 0
apc.user_entries_hint 4096
apc.user_ttl 0
apc.write_lock 1
APC cache currently running at about 50% full; 99+% hit rate. This problem happens when adding keys
(under load) to the User Cache following a "Clear User Cache" request. Keys are set to
"no timeout" yet are removed almost immediately resulting in the application continuing to
repopulate them. This seems to stabilize between 10-15 minutes following the user-cache flush; at
which point the entries seem to hang around normally.
Apache error logs show nothing APC related. Interestingly, using apc.php, it shows apc running for
significantly less time than apache has been running (apc=2days, apache=30days). I think this may
be related to a full cache-flush, however.
If you need more info, let me know. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
