The new PECL package gender-0.6.0 (beta) has been released at http://pecl.php.net/. Release notes ------------- * first pecl release with basic functionality * do not forget to run postinstall script, which copies the names dictionary file Package Info ------------- Gender PHP extension is a port of the gender.c program originally written by Jörg Michael. The main purpose is to find out the gender of firstnames. The actual database contains >40000 firstnames from 54 countries.
