I've been playing around with spidermonkey extension for the last 48h doing
some extensive testing (and although it's nice it's also terribly unstable
and unpredictable; .phpt will follow later this week for both
inconsistencies and crashes)
there is however one problem i've tried to fix at hand - it's the missing
array type support.
passing arrays as stdClass is inconvinient as $stdClass->0 doesn't work -
one has to use ugly $stdClass->{"0"} to access properties. also array cast
is usless because of PHP dynamic types:
$array[0] == $array['0']
so one can't access $array[(string)"0"] which is a real string index after
cast.
back to the fixing point though. i've started a patch against svn rev. 50,
it's available at:
http://crystalpoint.pl/~m.kurzyna/php/spidermonkey-arrays.diff
it does two things:
1) change jsval_to_zval() from many if/elses to switch structure with
delagated converting functions
2) adds jsobject_to_zval() which is a copy of previous algorythm just moved
to a function
3) adds *NON WORKING** jsarray_to_zval() which i've tried to implement
it works... sort of. for some reason i can't find it creates recursive arrays
to themselves in a number equal to number of JS level array elements.
any help would be appreciated regarding this (i'm offline whole monday but i
can get back to it starting tuesday evening).
TIA,
