namespace in memcache

Hello, now I try to add a namespace in the memcache module for a gestion of multiple sites with only one server memcached. i wanted to know if you think it is a good idea ? <?php $m = new Memcache; $m->addServer ($host, $port, 'my:'); ?> If yes, do you have informations to give me to do the best practice ? i think add two attributes (char * namespace, int namespace_len), in mmc_pool or mmc structure.
