ext proposal - PureMVC

hello all, my name is nathan nobbe. over the past few months i have ported the standard version of PureMVC for php into an extension. i just downloaded the already accepted php5 implementation and used it to guide me through the porting process. what i have is essentially a straight copy at the C level. i would like to have this listed among the extensions on pecl, for several reasons, 1. there are currently no mvc's available on pecl 2. pureMVC could always use another port :) having the code hosted on pecl makes it feel more legitimate 3. existing pureMVC (for php) users can increase application performace easily by installation via pecl (and the overall ease of installation the platform offers in general, of course) 4. its about time for some native application-framework-type code IMO (not trying to be a troll here >ducks<) at present the code is more-or-less complete, w/ a few todos on the list. i have written some 57 .phpt tests and today have finally gotten them all passing. there is more to do as is always the case w/ software, but i feel like the code is worthly of an alpha release. it currently builds and runs on both linux and my osx laptop :) goals for a promotion to beta would roughly include, . address current list of todos (small) . build & test on windows platforms . build on additional arch / os . create an additional branch for 5.3 and add namespaces to the classes in that branch . generate/write documentation following http://wiki.php.net/doc/scratchpad/pecldocs . pureMVC multi-core support (pending further research) and for promotion to a stable, i would like to have further testing after beta and have the code accepted by the PureMVC folks as an official port. ive just sent along a mail to the pureMVC architect today, roughly saying the same as i have here. i dropped the pure_mvc.c file on pastebin, which is the bulk of the code (barring unit tests) im happy to include the php_pure_mvc.h file and some tests on pastebin as well. http://pastebin.com/m7810ffd7 eagarly awaiting your response, -nathan
