Jani is very efficient at closing simple bugs. What about reviewing http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=50157 ? Check that it merges to 5.3 OK & that tests run. Run it through a debugger to check it is valid. Look for what is needed with PHP 6. If you pick this up, add an entry quickly to the bug so no one else merges it (though this won't guarantee that someone eager isn't looking at it).
