dio - direct I/O functions - request to maintain

Hi, I would like to take over maintenance of the dio module. I'm new here so I should explain who I am and why. So who am I? I'm Melanie aka Cyberspice. (http://www.cyberspice.org.uk/) I develop generally in the embedded linux realm for work but also work on applications, web services and web apps both at work and personally. I've developed, worked with and used open source software for about 15 years now. I program in C, C++, Obj-C, Java and of course PHP. (I'm a member of PHP Women). And why? I am currently developing an in house automated web driven test system. I need to script remote login and operation of hardware. Typically this is using a serial console hence the requirement for dio. Looking at the code for the extension I'd like to wrap the API as an object and turn it in to a stream extension. I'd also like to extend the flexibility of configuring the IO. So can I have it, can I :-) Melanie
