Unknown Memcached error

Hi, I'm having trouble to locate an error I have with memcached. It stoped working after an system upgrade. I don't know if it is a bug or if I'm just upgraded unsuccessfully. I'm writing here as a last resort, I have searched thru the webb and asked on IRC for answers for over a week, but I can't find anything similar. This is a brief description of my system: FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE-p5 (sparc64) Apache: 2.2.13 PHP version 5.2.11 memcaced-plugin version: 3.0.4 ($Revision: 1.83.2.36 $) Memcahed version: 1.4.1 In a terminal I can telnet to localhost, port 11211, and connect to memcached, so the daemon seems to be running. <?php $Cache = new Memcache; $Cache->addServer('localhost', 11211); print($Cache->getServerStatus('localhost', 11211)); // This returns/shows "1" $Cache->connect('localhost', 11211); print_r($Cache->getStats()); // This returns/show nothing, but generate the error below $Cache->close(); ?> The errorlog shows: Notice: MemcachePool::getstats() [memcachepool.getstats.php]: Server localhost (tcp 11211, udp 0) failed with: Socket operation on non-socket (38) /tmp/memcached-test.php on line 6 I can not get or set anyting in memcached either, it will report a similar error as above. Can anyone help me or give me a hint what cause this error/behaviour and how I fix it? Regards Anders
