Greetings,
I would like to propose adding a new extension to the PECL library -
session_pgsql, essentially an analog of session_mysql but with a Postgres
back-end.
This is essentially an update/cleanup of Yasuo Ohgaki's original code
which he has authorized me to release under the PHP license. The major
changes are listed in the git log.
I've done basic testing testing and this extension seems functional:
session_start/session_destroy work, and it works against a "real app"
(Serendipity - s9y.org).
There is some trouble using SquirrelMail with this session back-end but
that appears to be related to brokenness in how SquirrelMail handles
sessions. I haven't fully investigated this, but if anyone has ideas (or
better, patches) I'm all ears.
The current code for this extension is available on GitHub:
http://github.com/voretaq7/session_pgsql
Or as a tarball:
http://www.bsd-box.net/~mikeg/session_pgsql.tar
I'd appreciate any thoughts/feedback.
Thanks,
-MG
