I'd like to submit a PHP extension for Oracle Coherence. I work for Oracle UK and one of the products I cover is Coherence. The extension I have already written is available and outlined on my blog (see the link below). The extension provides native access to Oracle Coherence through the Coherence C++ interface. The native PHP interface provides a basic cache API (put/get/remove) which should be sufficient of caching HTTP session information. The reason for writing it was partly the challenge and also to provoke a fast, resilient and scalable session store option for PHP users. Any advice, feedback and help about how to proceed or to improve the extension would be much appreciated.
I understand this is a general purpose cache, but if the main target is to "provoke a fast, resilient and scalable session store", then why not implement a ps module? -- Gustavo Lopes
