Hi guys,
I am a contributor to the php-rabbit project (currently hosted at:
http://code.google.com/p/php-rabbit/) which is a
client for the RabbitMQ
broker (http://www.rabbitmq.com)
We are at a point in development where the API and functionality is becoming
more stable and is being used in production environments. As a result, we
would like to get into into PECL so that more people know about it and use
it, and to provide a central documentation location that is consistent with
the rest of the PHP extensions.
The php-rabbit client (PHP License 3.01) is a wrapper for librabbitmq, a C
library licensed under MPL v1.1.
According to the PECL publishing guide, wrappers for GPL and LGPL libraries
will not be allowed. Are MPL libraries allowed? Sorry for the silly
question, I am a license newb.
If it is allowed, I would like to get the blessing of the community to get
php-rabbit listed in PECL and start providing some solid centralized and
consistent documentation.
Thanks,
Pieter de Zwart
