Hi, I would like to upload a new extension I have written for Oracle Coherence. I'd like to call it simply "coherence". Does anybody have any objects or suggestions for alternative names? The name "coherence" seems fine.
I am also not sure how to package the extension. I have written the tests for the extension - and they all run fine. Iu have written all the documentation and they build fine and I can see them all locally - linked with the existing documentation. But when I looked at uploading the extension it seems I have to use pear and the package command. I have pear installed but am not sure how to use the package command. Can someone please advise me on how to do this? Thanks Dave FelceyTo build the package for distribution, create a "package.xml" file in the top level directory of the package, e.g. php-5.3.2/ext/coherence. Documentation on the format is at http://pear.php.net/manual/en/guide.developers.package2.php Then run something like:
cd ext/coherence
export PATH=$HOME/php/bin:$PATH
pecl package-validate package.xml
pecl package package.xml
This will create a .tgz file that can be uploaded to PECL or installed
with "pecl install coherence-1.0.0.tgz"
