See what I wrote about --add-project-files. Once you have a working visual studio project, you can use its debugger. In fact, you don't even need a visual studio project. All you have to do is to have your extension compiled with debugging symbols (embedded or thorugh pdbs) and then you can attach to a running script (use e.g. exec('pause') to pause the script) with Debug > Attach to Process. Hi Gustavo. Thanks for your advice. I truly appreciate it.I looked more closely at the php source I downloaded and it apparently contains all kinds of DSP files. I downloaded it from here: http://windows.php.net/downloads/releases/php-5.3.3-src.zip Interestingly, there are THREE different DSP files in the AMFEXT repository trunk: http://svn.php.net/viewvc/pecl/amfext/trunk/ And there is no DSP for PHP itself. Nor is one built when I do buildconf --add-project-files I managed to open one or two of these dsp project files and build it. This failed at first because it was looking for php5ts_debug.lib. I had to rebuild PHP with --enable-debug to get this file and I had to ..\..\Debut_TS to my Additional Library Dependencies. Perhaps you could give me a little more detail about how to get this rolling? At the moment, I'm trying to set up a BAT file to execute my newly compiled PHP via command line which first pauses. Unfortunately, the debug version of PHP I've built is giving me "LIBPQD.dll not found".
