I have 3 confirmed systems where PHP 5.3.3 cannot resolve DNS when run via apache, but works fine when run from the command line.
CASE 1:
OS: Mac OSX 10.5.8
APACHE: 2.2.15
cURL: 7.16.4
CASE 2:
OS: Mac OSX 10.?
APACHE: ?
cURL: 7.15.5
CASE 3:
OS: RedHat 5.6
APACHE: ?
cURL: ?
Resolving hosts is broken for everything (cURL, file_get_contents, gethostbyname, etc) when PHP is run through the web server, not just for cUrl, and it works fine when run through CLI.
Is there any information or detail available for DNS resolution issues?
