Hi everybody,
I would like to propose a new PECL extension which provides access to the Chromium Compact Language
Detector (CLD). Mike McCandless extracted CLD out of Chromium and made it available as a standalone
library and implemented Python bindings[1].
I've written a simple PECL extension to expose a single function to userland CLD\detect() with
the following signature:
CLD\detect(string $text[, bool is_plain_text[, bool $include_extended_languages[, string
$top_level_domain_hint[, string language_hint[, string encoding_hint]]]]])
License is New BSD License (2 clause).
Proposed name would be "cld", category should be "Internationalization".
