Our company has been using the libevent package in several projects as of
late and we would like to help maintain the package (
http://pecl.php.net/package/libevent).
We've copied the package to a GIT repo for our own future maintenance, as
well as having already committed a few improvements. (

I believe other users in the community may find our work on the project
beneficial.
